From February to March, the “Meet Your Foundation” campaign opened a different window: not toward programs or numbers, but toward the team that makes them possible. Four stories of why social work is not just a career, but a way of being in the world.
Erika Ortiz
She brings the same attentiveness to every conversation that she pours into every project. With twenty years of experience in the social sector, she currently serves as the Head of Strategic Alliances at the Foundation: responsible for building bridges between institutions and ensuring that collaboration takes root. In her, experience and warmth do not contradict one another but rather enhance each other, translating into lasting working relationships and partnerships that generate real impact.
For Erika, the Foundation is color, it is life, it is empathy, and it is also professional commitment. Being part of an institution that transforms realities is not just an achievement: it is, she says, an honor.
Alan Díaz
He has accumulated thirteen years of experience in the social sector and carries it with a dedication that shows in every project he touches. As Coordinator of Social Innovation, his work is to strengthen the links between the Foundation’s actions and the Corazones Bocar corporate program, ensuring that social commitment reaches every corner of the company.
Alan is one of those people who makes the journey lighter: he has ideas, he has humor, and he has a quiet generosity that shows in the way he treats those who work alongside him. He has learned, after years in this field, that the most solid projects are not built by a single person, but by everyone who decides to believe in something together.
Abril Cárdenas
She thinks about community the way others think about the future: with hope and responsibility. As Project Management Coordinator, she is the one who ensures that every initiative has real support, clear processes, and a transparency that builds trust.
But what drives Abril goes beyond coordination: it is the conviction that true change is built alongside every voice. That no one is left out. That building together is, in itself, part of the transformation.
Priscila Femat
She arrived at the Foundation when it was still an idea taking shape, and since then she has been its compass. As Manager, she leads with an uncommon combination: the precision of someone with a background in actuarial science and the warmth of someone who never loses sight of the people behind the numbers.
After years in the financial sector, she found her purpose in something different: creating opportunities, redistributing possibilities, supporting others. Her team knows it: Priscila is always there. She listens, she encourages, she sustains. And that constant presence supports much of what the Foundation truly is.
A foundation is not just its programs. It is also the people who decide, day after day, that it is worth it. Erika, Alan, Abril, and Priscila are part of that answer.
